Car rent policies
payment Terms, Cancellation Policy, and General Terms:
Booking Confirmation:
The booking will be confirmed upon receipt of a deposit of 25% of the estimated rental cost via credit card or bank transfer, or upon full payment – depending on the booking date.
Payment Terms:
• 25% of the rental amount – to be paid at the time of booking for confirmation.
• Full payment – will be charged 21 days before the rental start date via credit card.
• Payment can be made via one or two credit cards, depending on the car model, or via bank transfer. A 1% fee will be applied for credit card payments.
• Deposit – the amount covering loss, theft, or damage to the car. It will be blocked on the customer’s credit card 3 days before the rental start date.
Cancellation Policy:
The customer may cancel the booking via email or phone. Please note that the following conditions apply in case of cancellation or no-show:
• Up to 45 days before the rental start date – no charge (0%).
• Between 45 to 20 days before the rental start date – a 20% charge of the rental amount.
• Later cancellations or no-shows – a 100% charge of the rental amount.
These charges will apply even if the customer has not completed the remaining payment and/or if the deposit amount intended to cover the deductible for loss, theft, or damage to the vehicle could not be blocked.
General Rental Terms:
• Minimum age: 25-30 years, depending on the car model and type.
• Driver’s license: A valid driver’s license for at least one year is required for all car categories + an international driver’s license and valid passport. The same terms, including the minimum age, apply to any additional driver approved by Solo Italia.
• Fuel: Not included in the price.
• Fuel, highway tolls, and the vehicle rental guarantee are not included in the price.
• Deposit: The deposit will be held through a pre-authorization on the credit card and will be released after the rental period. Missing fuel, additional mileage, and damages may be charged against the deposit amount.
• Minimum rental duration: One rental day = 24 hours. If the rental period exceeds by more than two hours, an additional day’s rental fee will apply.
• Car return and rental extension: The customer is required to return the car on the agreed date. Any extension of the rental period requires prior approval and will only be available subject to vehicle availability.
Insurance Terms:
• Insurance: RCA insurance is included (compulsory third-party liability insurance covering bodily and material damages to third parties only).
• LDDR (reduction of deductible for damage and total loss): Insurance for loss and collision damage is included in the price.
However, there is a deductible that applies in the following cases:
If the renter causes damage to the vehicle intentionally or through gross negligence, they will be fully responsible for the vehicle’s value.
